TriRx are seeking a fixed term team member to join our fantastic engineering team. The Mechanical Test Technician will report to the Mechanical Craft Supervisor and will play a pivotal role in providing specialist engineering services to our Biotechnology COMAH site here in Speke.
What you will do as a Mechanical Test Technician / Condition Monitoring Engineer (Vibration Control)
• Carry out Predictive Maintenance/Condition Monitoring routines (Vibration Analysis) on equipment throughout the Speke site, utilising OEM Vibration equipment and software to review data and/or trend
• Complete repairs to mechanical equipment within manufacturing
• Create reports from the routine predictive maintenance checks and share with the maintenance community (Reliability/Support/Planners/Supervision)
• Use expertise to identify potential faults, process problems before failure; identifying modes of failure and/or deviations and/or root causes
• Complete records and logs that include work orders, datasheets, requisitions, equipment logs, SOPs and incident reports
• Identify and implement improvements to the predictive maintenance program including installation and upgrading of test points on plant equipment to improve reliability ad performance. Improve and update operating procedures and risk assessments as required
• Operate and maintain a full range of process control equipment
• Execute work, adhering to all legal and TriRx safety standards
• Proactively report EHS issues via our site wide H&S programme, BSafe
• Own your personal development, aim for CI and progress in the organisation
• Act as I brand advocate and apply the TriRx values in everything you do
Essential Criteria for the role of Mechanical Test Technician / Condition Monitoring Engineer (Vibration Control)
• A completed and recognised apprenticeship and has obtained NVQ Level 3, ONC or HNC qualification in a mechanical discipline
Holding or working towards VCAT-1 (Vibration Analysis)
Desirable Criteria for the role of Mechanical Test Technician / Condition Monitoring Engineer (Vibration Control)
• Willingness to progress learning to attain VCAT-II and VCAT-III in the future
• Previous experience of working at a COMAH site
