We are seeking a focused and energised member to our Maintenance and Reliability team. The role focus is being a key team player within engineering and facilities; applying your expertise toward the management system which governs the various engineering compliance and statutory activities around thorough examination, inspection and testing to ensure safe plant and equipment.

Relevant statutory provisions include:

Pressure System Safety Regulations (PSSR)

Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations (eg Mechanical Integrity)

Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER)

Provision and use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER)

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) (eg Local exhaust ventilation, breathing air, Legionella – hot and cold water systems)

What you will do as an Engineering Compliance Engineer?

• Own the management system process for defining how statutory and GMP systems are managed on site

• Assessing the requirements for statutory engineering inspections, examinations and testing in compliance with applicable UK regulations

• Developing, implementing and maintaining the management system to ensure compliance with relevant statutory provisions

Routine operational process in order to comply with the statutory requirements of the sys-tem

• Periodically measuring, reviewing and auditing performance of the whole process

• Competency/training program

• Associated documentation system

• Assessing statutory inspection, examination and fitness for service results and identifying appropriate next steps

• Monitor high level metrics and feedback critical issues to senior management

• Own the upkeep of the site register for associated assets

• Own the supplier relationship process if we require outsourced services

• Provide guidance to other engineers

• Own or assist root cause and impact investigation of deviations

• Drive continuous improvement

What is the Essential Criteria for the role of Engineering Compliance Engineer

• Engineering degree or equivalent EHS qualification

• At least 3 years of Engineering experience in statutory inspections and examinations

• Prior experience of working on a COMAH site (Lower, Upper or Top)
